With just a population of 8,412 in the 2010 census, the town of Orange Park, Florida is a great place to look for houses for rent in Orange Park, FL and get away from the busy city life. This town is located in Clay County Florida and a suburb of Jacksonville.

The entire town is approximately 5.6 sq miles with 3.9 sq miles of the total area is land and 29.73% or 1.6 sq miles is water. The different communities of Ridgewood, Orange Park South, Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace, Doctor's Inlet and Fleming Island makes up the Greater Orange Park area. And just minutes north of the popular St Augustine area. Orange Park's name came from the first settlers in the area who were involved in the fruit-growing industry. However, there crops were all destroyed in 1894 when a Great Freeze hit the area and lasted for a year. Since then, the crops never grew back. But regardless of what happened, the town's name still lives on.

The warm climate and natural environment at the Town Hall Park is ideal for walking in the park and appreciating the beauty of nature. The park has several amenities like picnic tables, grills, playgrounds, restrooms and band stage. Most of the community events are held in this park several times a year which includes the annual Fall Festival. The park can also be rented for different occasions like weddings, birthdays and various events. While in the park, you can appreciate the majestic oak trees towering above the horizon which serves as a perfect backdrop for pictures and events.

If you are fond of history, then you will enjoy visiting the Clarke House Park which is included in the list of Historic Sites in the country. William Clarke built the place in the 1900's and served as the meeting place for the member of the Orange Park Historical Society. Today, it still serves as a place for get together with the added amenities like pavilions, gardens, nature trails and large playground all covered by large oak trees.

The town of Orange Park is also ideal for business start ups and franchising. The town serves as a gateway of the entire Clay County, because of its direct access to the interstate highways that connects with the other cities in Florida.
