Florida Rental Vacancy Rates on The Move

Are Vacancy rates on the rise in Florida? According to the U.S. Census Bureau they are. Rental Vacancy rates in Florida are on pace to close the year at a higher vacancy rate than the 4th Quarter of 2010 vacancy rate of 13.8%. The 2010 third quarter Florida Vacancy rate was 13.2%
In 2011 the third quarter vacancy rate average was close to an all time high in the state at 15.1%.Typically Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa-St Petersburg, Clearwater area average the highest rental vacancy rates in the state. In 2009 Jacksonville vacancy rate averaged 15.9% and Orlando averaged a Whopping 22.8% while St Pete-Clearwater and Tampa came in at a much lower 12.4% average.
With the current U.S. Census vacancy rate at 15.1% what do you think the vacancy percentage will close at for 2011? Will drop or rise?
