Beautiful Navarre Florida is located in the northwest section of the Florida panhandle and can be found between Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach. Centered along the junction of US Route 98 and State Road 87, Navarre Florida is an unincorporated town that features beautiful Navarre Beach along the Gulf Coast.

Navarre was founded by Colonel Guy Wyman in 1925. His family enjoyed visiting the area and had purchased a great deal of property that was named "Navarre" after a province in Spain. Bordered on the north side by the East River and on the Southside by the Santa Rosa Sound, Navarre has steadily grown over the past 70+ years to eventually have roughly 30,000 living in Navarre by the end of the 2010. With almost 8,000 homes in the area, the median income of a typical resident of Navarre is just over $41,000.

The economy of Navarre is bolstered by the presence of several large military facilities in the area, most notably the Naval Air Station in Pensacola to the west and on the east side of Navarre Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base. Having these facilities nearby has helped to stabilize the economy and keeps unemployment rather low, making Navarre an ideal spot for those interested in moving to this bustling community.

The community of Navarre may be dwarfed by nearby Pensacola, but for many this moderately sized town has become known as "Florida's Best Kept Secret" thanks in large part to the mild climate, good standard of living and numerous attractions and beautiful countryside that this part of Florida is best known for. A large boardwalk, water playground, duck pond and butterfly house are located near the bridge to Navarre Beach which is just across the Santa Rosa Sound.

Navarre Beach features one of the more beautiful beaches in the area where surfing and beach volleyball are popular attractions. However, it must be noted that Navarre has had its share of hurricanes over the years, most notably hurricanes Erin, Opal, Ivan and Dennis has hit Navarre either directly or made close brushes with the community.
